ACCOUNT INFORMATION

To make sure you profile information is accurate, roll over “Logged in as…” in the upper right corner, then click on “Edit My Profile” to review and/or update your account information at any time.

Make sure you complete all of the social media fields at the bottom of your profile page. Your readers will be able to connect with you at your social media accounts, because these links will display with your bio posted at the end of your articles.

INCOME GENERATORS “HOW-TO”

Google Adsense:

If you have a Google Adsense account, then you already have a “PUB” number, which will be used to automatically record your ad sales on the Google accounting system. Skip to the next section (“Monetize Your Writer Account”) below to complete your Retrowarehouse account setup.

If you don’t have a Google Adsense account, then choose from one of the following:

  • If you have a Website, then go directly to Google Adsense and create an account. Then you can request a “PUB” number.
  • If you don’t have a Website, but you have a YouTube channel, follow the instructions under “YouTube Method” below.
  • If you don’t have a Website and you don’t have a YouTube channel, follow the instructions under “Alternate Methods” below.

    •   YouTube Method

    1. Get 100% Approved Adsense Account, then
    2. Associate Your YouTube and AdSense Accounts, then
    3. Skip to the next section (“Monetize Your Writer Account”) below to complete your Retrowarehouse account setup.

    Alternate Methods

    1. Get Google Adsense Without A Website or Blog, then
    2. Make sure you have a “PUB” number when you complete any of these methods. If not, you need to apply for one on the Google Adsense Web site, then
    3. Go to “Monetize Your Writer Account” below to input your “PUB” number and complete your account setup.

    Once you monetize your Retrowarehouse account, all Google Adsense payments will be made directly to you by Google based on their terms and conditions (see “Monetize Your Writer Account” below).

    Chitika:

    Chitika provides localized and mobile ads that are drawn from an extensive network of advertiser partners including Yahoo!, SuperMedia, hibu and HomeAdvisor, etc. Generally like the Google Adsense program, all you need is a Website or Blog. Click here to get a Chitika ID number.

    MONETIZE YOUR WRITER ACCOUNT

    Your Google Adsense Info:

    In your “Dashboard,” click on “My Google Adsense Info” and complete the form. Input your entire “PUB” number (including “pub-“) into “Your Advertising ID” and fill out “Your Home Town,” then click “Save Changes.”

    Your “PUB” number will be used to automatically record your ad sales on the Google accounting system. All payments will be made directly to you by Google based on their terms and conditions.

    Your Chitika Info:

    Your ID number will be used to automatically record your ad sales on the Chitika accounting system. All payments will be made directly to you by Chitika based on their terms and conditions.

     
    • If you don’t have a Chitika account, click here to get an ID number, then forward it to me via e-mail.
    • If you have a Chitika account, just send me your ID number via e-mail.

    SUPPORT

    The Writer support area is protected from the general public, so you have to be logged into your writer account to access it. Once you log in, you’ll see the “Writer Resources” link at the top of the live Retrowarehouse Web site. That is where you will find all the help files. In fact, you’re only seeing this now because you are logged into your writer account.
