Torifan’s review: Please, folks, do NOT waste valuable money on this film! I saw the first Legally Blonde, also, and while it was cute, and kind of sweet, this sequel was ridiculous and pointless. I hate to sound so harsh, but my friend and I were bored to tears while watching this. I think she summed it up best: "This sucks!" I love Reese Witherspoon as an actress, and she's one of my favorites, as far as that goes, but this type of movie is beneath her. We wondered why this sequel was even made. We are still wondering. How can I best describe the plot? It'll be hard, but I will try.
Elle Woods (Witherspoon) is now a practicing lawyer (still hard to believe, since they made the character as dumb as a post), and takes on an animal rights crusade because of her dog Bruiser. Bruiser was the best thing about this movie. There was a plot about him being gay... gay dogs! What have we come to??? He cracked us up, though, a little dog in leather. Oh, but the plot... well, it had your usual crooked politicians, and of course Elle was the sweet moral voice in the movie. Reese Witherspoon is great, usually, as an actress, and she was fine here, but she really didn't have much to work with. We actually kept looking at our watches to see when the thing would be over. It wasn't the worst movie I've seen this year... oh wait, it was. Is it even a rental? For those who don't ask for much in their movies, maybe. Trust me folks, this one was a letdown.
