AUDIO EMBEDDING

It’s really easy to upload MP3 audio files and the media uploader usually recognizes the file. The following is the quickest way to embed your audio files.

OPTION 1 – Audio Link Embed

From your article, go to “Media->Add New” and start uploading your file. When a file is uploaded you can check the details by clicking on the “Edit” option.

Now copy the URL of your audio file and create a new article. Write your content as usual and finally paste the URL into your article body.

OPTION 2 – Audio Media Player Embed

Click the “Add Media” button (it’s located on the top left corner of the editor) and browse for your audio file on your computer. Once the file has been uploaded you can choose to embed it by selecting the “Embed Media Player” option.

Now click on the “Insert into page” button, which will insert the following shortcode into your article:

Hit the “Publish” button. Open the article in a browser window and you will see the file embedded, something like this:

VIDEO EMBEDDING

To embed a video from one of the sites listed above, just paste the embed code of the video. For example, there is a YouTube video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mmRPSoDrrFU that you want to embed.

Simply paste the embed code into your article at the place where you want the video to display and the YouTube player will show in its place when you publish. Be sure that the URL is not linked.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mmRPSoDrrFU

That embed code for the video above becomes this—the video:

Embedding a Video Gallery

To include more than one video in your article like the gallery included in the Southern Tastes & Sounds article, the videos have to be hosted on YouTube. Collect the video links that you would like posted in the gallery, then e-mail them to me. After your gallery is setup, you will receive a reply with the shortcode that you should place where you want the video gallery to display in the article. Retrowarehouse allows a maximum of six (6) videos in one (1) carousel per article.

That’s all about embedding audio and video! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
